GDPR Information

Personal data management

When you have read this information, University of Fribourg considers that you have received the information you are entitled to under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For conference management purposes, we store the following information:

  • name of all participants
  • email addresses of all participants
  • department / affiliation
  • food preferences / restrictions

The data is available only to the conference administration and is used for a) communication regarding the conference, b) for administration of the conference and c) for statistical purposes.

The data is stored digitally during the conference and for another 12 months, or until the next EuroSLA conference will take place. Lists with names and affiliation will also be transferred to the EuroSLA organisation for their membership administration.
The data is also archived in physical form and will be deleted according to the archiving regulations of the university.
